A great book for young children to read and learn about emotions. This board book is a great book for parents or caregivers to read to their young children and teach and talk to them about different emotions that might occur on a given day. One part of the book that speaks to me the most and I think is the most important lesson for young children is the line that goes "Then comes a mixed-up day. And wham! I don't know who or what I am! But it all turns out all right, you see. And I go back to being ... me."
I give this book five stars out of five stars or in the spirit of this book five yellow hearts out of five yellow hearts (In hope that your day is a yellow day!). The reason why I am giving this book so much praise is that I love the message of the book. I think it is very important to teach about different emotions at a young age. Children can learn so much about this book from just looking at the pictures which convey the message of the story just as much as the words do. This book is a book that children would love to look at on their own and stands for the end of time.

So many people don't realize Dr. Seuss wrote books he didn't illustrate, but I do remember this, I also remember there was a movie of this. I agree this is a good book on explaining and exploring emotions for children because it uses a metaphor children understand...colors.
