This beginning reader is about Danny who meets a Dinosaur at the museum wishing to talk to a Dinosaur, the Dinosaur begins to speak to Danny. The Dinosaur and Danny spend the day together taking an adventure about the town. The beginning reader is the first in it's series and has two more books in the first series which are "Happy Birthday, Danny and the Dinosaur!" and "Danny and the Dinosaur Go to Camp." There are also many other stories with Danny and the Dinosaur that are not included in the original series.
I give this beginning reader 3 stars out of 5 stars or for this book three paw prints out of five paw prints.
The story is a bit outdated since it was written in the 1950s, and might only attract boys. The book does read like a beginning reader but does not have chapters like a true beginning reader. The characters would attract some children that like Dinosaurs. Danny and the Dinosaurs' adventures would be fun for children beginning to read.
